FAQ

Why is your waitlist for Cavapoo puppies so long?

As an ethical breeder we maintain a commitment to only have a litter of puppies when we have a minimum of 4 deposits as an average Cavapoo litter is 5 puppies. We are not in the puppy selling business and this is not our source of income. That allows us to be extremely selective in the parent dogs and litters we produce, never cutting corners or producing puppies that don’t have homes for the sake of profits.

How much are your Cavapoo puppies? Do you offer discounts?

Our puppies are priced at $4,000, including a nonrefundable $1,000 deposit required to reserve your spot. There is a 6% Michigan sales tax due with the final payment. Think of the deposit as a commitment fee – it ensures that each puppy has a loving home before they are even born. The average Cavapoo litter consists of 5 puppies, and we only have a litter if we’ve received a minimum of 4 deposits. While we maintain a general waitlist and can provide an estimate of when you may receive a puppy, the timing is never guaranteed. We always hold one discount spot per litter to dogs going for special placements. Please ask about this discount during our Zoom call.

What do puppies go home with?

Puppies go home having their first vet visit which includes: a full head to toe exam, health certificate, their first DAPP vaccine, microchip, and a dewormer if needed. They have been fully weaned and begun crate training and socialization. Their go home bags includes a blanket from mom, a favorite toy, several days of kibble and canned food, treats, and a few of our favorite things.

Do you have teacup Cavapoo puppies?

The breed standard for Cavapoos is 12-25 pounds, and most of our puppies grow to 16 pounds. This size is ideal, allowing you to easily pick up and carry your dog without the risk of injury from being underfoot or around young children. We do not support the “teacup” trend, as these puppies are often bred unethically for health reasons, typically delivered via C-section, and many are born too small to survive. I strongly encourage you to research this trend and consider the long-term health of those puppies.

Can I visit your home, moms, and puppies?

We offer a family visit weekend for families who are confirmed to receive a puppy from a specific litter. As a small in-home breeder, some of our moms live in Guardian Homes (their forever homes) and return to us only when it’s time to have puppies. Between litters, our dogs—Scarlet (a retired mom), Maggie (a future mom), and Mabel (our Labrador who is no longer part of the breeding program)—are cherished family pets. The whelping pen and dog supplies are packed away during this time, so there isn’t much to see. Before placing a deposit, I require a Zoom or FaceTime call to introduce myself and give you the opportunity to see that I’m a real person. During the call, our dogs may pop into view, and if we have puppies here at the time, we’d be delighted to show you.
